Top Three Signs that a “How to Make Quick Money Scheme” is a Scam

When you search the Internet for ways on how to make quick money online, you may bump into hundreds of links that offer safe, sure, and fast ways to make income legally. But remember that this is the Internet and the Internet is a playground for scammers to make things up and generate a lot of hype to fool people into joining these quick money schemes and leave them devastated with losses.

Getting scammed is no joke and understanding the top three signs puts you out of the risk zone in getting scammed. The top three signs are as follows.

The Website is asking for an Upfront Fee without Much Explanation

This is by far the simplest form of online scams and a good majority of the sites have this near the bottom of the page. Normally the amount can be well above $100 because they would try to convince that the money earnings would pay for itself. If you can really make let’s say $1000, that means the company would be at a huge loss. Of course the company has to gain something and that something is keeping the upfront fee while leaving you hanging.

Some websites ask for a smaller upfront fee and then surprise you with a much larger one. Avoid these at all costs. There might be a few legitimate opportunities that ask for upfront fees simply for technical support (also known as an “Admin Fee”). If that’s the case, check if the other two signs are showing as well.

No External Resources giving Positive Information about the Website

Never join a program that promises you how to make quick money without doing a background search first. The easiest way to do this is by pasting the domain name into the search box of your favorite search engine and observe the results. You might find a few links indicating that the website is a scam. Check multiple sources to make sure as some scam claims could be fake. If there aren’t many results, the website could be just a few months old. Bookmark the site and come back on a future date to see if the site still exists.

Large Messy Website without Contact Information

Some quick money schemes take the form of really large websites that contain all kinds of hype related information, testimonials, presentations, and other stuff that can distract you from the fee that you need to pay to join. Although the site may appear to be complete, you should ignore it if you don’t see any contact information link. Scammers don’t want to meddle with people and would rather stay unknown.

Keep in mind that there may be some smarter scammers that you can interact with. One good trick is to ask their full name and then search it through search engines and fetch any information about the individual.

Don’t rely on these three signs alone because scammers are always on the move to find more ways to fool people. Be very observant when joining a business opportunity or online job so you won’t get scammed.
